Beaver Bridge were appointed by Moray Council to design, manufacture and install a new bridge to give public access to the beach which had been closed off for 4 years due the deterioration of the previous access bridge. Due to the close proximity of the site to the town we worked very closely with the local community to ensure that they were never inconvenienced during the construction works.
We installed a live web cam so all interested parties could follow the construction works online, created social media pages to keen everyone informed and worked in collaboration with local schools supporting their students with site and school visits and on the weekend of opening a 1000 people per hour was crossing the bridge. The project was awarded the prestigious CECA Scotland Community Project Award.
