A new residential housing development was in its second stage when we were contacted by the client. They hired Beaver Bridges, as a subcontractor, to remove an existing structure and provide bridge design and the installation of new foundations, based on GI data provided by the Client.
Beaver Bridges also provided the client with the design, build and instalment of a new vehicle bridge with pedestrian walkways which linked completed phase one to phase two which was underway. The already populated phase one meant that access to the site of the bridge was tight. A crane was situated on the developed side and slung across the brook, thus joining it to phase two. A large tree stump had to be removed from the finished side of the development to prepare for the new mass concrete foundations. Works on site began in December 2016 with the removal element and the project was completed in January 2017. All men, plant, machinery and RAMs supplied by Beaver Bridges Ltd, with a CPA Crane Hire.
All works were completed with safely, without any health & safety issues, with minimum disruption to residents and with sensitivity to the local environment.
