About / Meet The Team / Ed John
Ed John is a Chartered Civil Engineer who joined Beaver Bridges in January 2024 to lead day-to-day operations, project delivery, site logistics, and quality assurance. With over 15 years of infrastructure experience, he brings a disciplined, hands-on approach to delivering complex projects safely and efficiently.
He mobilises the “orange army” to deliver bridges swiftly and sustainably across highways, rail, utilities, and active-travel networks nationwide, ensuring consistent quality and operational excellence at every stage.
Before joining Beaver Bridges, Ed managed major civil engineering schemes at Balfour Beatty and led complex works. including Worcester Southern Link Road Phase 4 while serving as Construction Manager at Alun Griffiths. A Cardiff University MEng graduate, he also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Leadership and previously chaired the ICE East of England Committee, credentials that underpin his rigorous processes and collaborative, safety-first culture.
Clients value his hands-on leadership, transparent communication, and ability to keep programmes on track from design handover through to installation, delivering resilient bridges that connect people, places, and prosperity.
