Stephen Hubbard is a Chartered Civil Engineer with broad expertise in permanent and temporary bridge design, construction engineering and temporary works within the UK Civil Engineering and Building sectors. Skilled in leading teams and delivering complex solutions both on site and in design office environments. Trusted in client-facing roles, with a strong track record of driving innovation, improving buildability, and implementing practical, cost-effective engineering solutions that deliver measurable project benefits
Stephen brings over 28 years’ bridging experience, directing both in-house and external design resources in the delivery of bridge superstructure projects across international markets, supervising and developing graduate and chartered engineers. He has led the preparation of tender and contract documentation, technical specifications and procurement packages for consultants, specialist suppliers, and fabricators, ensuring commercial and programme certainty. He has also worked internationally, providing senior technical support during overseas engagements. His expertise covers the complete lifecycle of UK steel bridge design and fabrication, with a strong working knowledge of international codes and standards.
