Scope of Work: Principal Inspections & Production of Reports of 6 Rail Bridges
Beaver Bridges were awarded this contract by Wakefield Council in January 2023 to conduct 6 Principal Bridge Inspections and produce the relevant reports. The bridges were 6 road bridges and 2 footbridges over an operational railway line:
Risk Assessment and Method Statements were compiled and submitted to Network Rail for approval before works were carried out. Traffic Management was required to close the road whilst the inspections of Glasshoughton and Tanshelf Bridges were inspected. Access equipment was then used on all bridges including Mobile Elevated Platforms (MEWPS), scaffolding, and rope access.
