Beaver Bridges has earned a reputation for building quality bespoke bridges on time and on budget.
In the latter part of 2008 Beaver Bridges were approached by Enterprise Mouchel to view the possibility of refurbishing a bridge over the busy A316 dual carriageway.
Initial thoughts regarding the specifications and how to safely carry out the work indicated the bridge, all it’s supports and access ramps would need removing from site to allow us to carry out the work’s in our manufacturing facility in Shropshire
At the end November 2008 Beaver Bridges started work to remove the Hospital road footbridge. All work was carried out at night or during off peak lane closures to minimise traffic congestion. There was added pressure with this project as the bridge was used by a local school to access playing fields on the far side of the A316. This meant all work needed to be complete and the bridge erected and ready for use my the middle of the following term
Beaver Bridges worked to full Highways Agency specifications in refurbishing this bridge and all it’s furniture and successfully re-installed the bridge in early 2009
Beaver Bridges are able to refurbish any size bridge structure either in situ or at their factory. This option can give many more years life to a bridge that would otherwise need to be completely renewed.
